New official UK website for Horrid Henry
Horrid Henry is a series of books for children written by bestselling children’s author Francesca Simon. Horrid Henry has sold over 12 million copies worldwide and is published in 24 countries. It has also been produced as an animated TV series for CITV.
Francesca Simon states the idea of Horrid Henry came about after a friend asked her to write a book about a horrid child and based on her desire to write about families and sibling rivalry.
The official UK Horrid Henry site is aimed towards children and has information on the latest events Francesca Simon and Horrid Henry will be attending, a list of all the books, games, downloads, screensavers and lots more exciting activities for kids.
Horrid Henry has also found his place on supermarket shelves where he is appearing on 2 million branded packs of Marmite (250g jars). There will be individual ‘horrid’ and ‘perfect’ labels based on characters Horrid Henry and Perfect Peter that relate to the love it/hate it idea behind Marmite. Each special Horrid Henry Marmite pack contains a code for a free audio book download, from Audible.co.uk.
Titles in the series include, Horrid Henry Robs the Bank, Horrid Henry’s Haunted House and Horrid Henry Meets the Queen. The latest book in the series, ‘Horrid Henry Wakes The Dead’, is was released on 1st October 2009.
